MUSC Plymouth 30th Anniversary Presentation

It was a very proud moment for the Branch to receive recognition from United to celebrate our 30th year. On 3rd May 2026, prior to the Liverpool game, 20 of our Branch members attended a pitch-side presentation performed by legend Bryan Robson.

It’s been quite a journey since a few locals wanted to find a way to discuss and watch United games way back in 1996. Following the formation of the Branch, our first trips to Old Trafford were by minibus. Those humble beginnings were just the start to where we are now, thirty years later, running 53-70 seat coaches to the Theatre of Dreams.

Over that period, we have continued to grow and develop. Our success is down to the fact that we have always had, and continue to have, a dedicated, hardworking volunteer Committee. However, our longevity is mainly due to our members who have loyally supported us throughout our thirty-year journey. This has resulted in the Branch being able to take thousands of fans to watch United at Old Trafford. This incredible presentation was a culmination of the efforts and achievements of every one of us who make this Branch the success it is.

Branch Q and A session with United legend

Branch members recently enjoyed a meeting via Zoom with Bryan Robson. During the one hour session, Bryan answered questions and gave his views on a wide range of topics.

Bryan described his memories of games such as the 3-5 West Brom match at OT, the second leg of the ECWC in 1984 against Maradona and Barcelona, the ECWC final in 1991 also against Barcelona, plus FA cup triumphs and the Premier League. He gave various views on players such as who he would most like to see United buy this summer, the player he regrets most leaving United, the hardest player he came up against (probably not who you would think), the best United player he played with, and which United player since he would most liked to have played with. Bryan contrasted the management styles of Big Ron and Sir Alex, and also the training methods and preparation for games when he was playing and today.

These and other topics contributed to a wonderful session which members enjoyed immensely. Thank you Bryan.
